Valincha
the tossing of an individual onto his/her bed, typically children, for a fun bedtime ritual. this word originated in the bay area of california circa 1945 – 1950 when a father invented a bedtime ritual to make the experience something to look forward to. you swing the child at least to a three count (count to their age if you can handle it) and then toss with the excited announcement, “valincha!”
every night at bedtime, daddy gives sally a valincha.
