virginous
virginous is a word describing one who is virgin-like, be they a female or male, with virgin-type characteristics, even if that person is not necessarily a virgin.
for example, a young woman wearing a white, simple flowing dress on her wedding day may “appear” virginous” even though she is not a virgin. usually, characteristics that coincide with being a virgin may include appearing young, innocent, and inexperienced in the s-xual sense, virginous qualities may also describe rebirth and awakening. one must however be careful when using this word as a form of slander, however, as many women are abused and even killed in some cultures if there is suspicion that they are not a virgin on their wedding day.
