Voldemetal
a phrase coined by a chemistry teacher and his students based on the harry potter character voldemort, that describes an element (either metal or nonmetal) that is neither an alkali/alkaline earth metal or a transt-tional metal, and has no specific name to be sorted under.
“aluminum is neither an alkaline nor an alkali earth metal, and so we call it a voldemetal; meaning that it has no name.”
“gallium is a voldemetal, or a metal-that-shall-not-be-named”
