a wannabe-wife is someone (particularly female) who wears a wedding ring and/or engagement ring on their left ring finger indicating false marital status. this person may or may not be in an actual relationship.
any woman you see with a ring on her finger but no man in her life is a “wannabe-wife”.
any woman who is dating, but wears a ring even though she is not legally married is a “wannabe-wife”.
any woman who is in a relationship that wears a ring although she has not been proposed to is a “wannabe-wife”.
any woman whom claims to be engaged for more than 2-3 years is a “wannabe-wife”.
