wash & set
is a term used commonly within the african american culture to describe a service performed on the hair. the service can be described simply as having your hair washed, conditioned, dried, and curled. wash and sets can be received in most hair salons. though a wash and set can be done as frequently as an individual likes it is typically only done every week or for some every two weeks.
i’m going to get my hair done, i’m going to get a wash & set.
