wazzerk
a wazzerk is a colloquial term used in lancashire for a sheep’s head. sheep are considered to be quite stupid as they are known to follow blindly the sheep in front of it. therefore someone who is acting like a brainless idiot or a pillock could be called a wazzerk in lancashire. alternative spelling is wazzock. in 1981 tony capstick released a humorous single called ‘capstick comes home’ where we here the word wazzerk being used.
