deragatory name for a person who works in a non-business oriented enviroment. typically used by the upper-cl-ss to describe those with lower income or education. construction workers, pizza delivery men don’t require black socks to wear with dress pants, hence the name white socker. closely relates to the terms “white colar” and “blue colar”.
