somebody who would rather let his wife have her way when it comes to a vast swathe of home affairs, material as well as incosequential, but would hold back on a self-made, choice list of matters that he considers above-trivia, thereby also displaying a chauvinist streak.
i’m a wifeophile on most matters, but when it’s about travel, i don’t let reins go from my hand.
