the winsted 500 is a common pasttime of winsted teens. what do you do on an your 2 or 3 tone car and drive around, many times up and down main st., up into winchester center or around the lake and look for other winsted 500’ers doing the same thing. depending on the team, they may be smoking, eating, drinking,or clichely listening to the latest weezy. a winsted 500 team usually consists of 2 or 3 members, sometimes but rarely 4. 5 or 6 is nearly unheard of. the rising cost of gas prices doesn’t phase us. y’mean?
