american moniker for the most beautiful car ever made, the jaguar e-type sportscar. jaguar never called the car an xke in any literature but some american dealerships advertised it under that name. the e-type is the successor of the c-type and d-type jaguars and was produced from 1961 thru 1974. xk is the engine style designation.
