a shawl/poncho like colorful piece of clothing, usually used on elder mexicans over one shoulder. it’s colorful, and very important. baby’s used to be carried wrapped in one, and it also served as a blanket.
somebody thought it was a good idea to once again use our mexican culture to make money and made it a fashion statement. carajo.
