another lovely term in hinglish from bollywood and aamchi mumbai. chai is tea, kitli is teapot and garam means hot. when literally translated, “the teapot is hotter than the tea it contains”. it is used to denote a person who who claims to be more intelligent/smarter than they appear.
pehle dekha to waah; lekin baad mein pataa chalaa ki chai se zyada kitli garam hai.
