A hereditary, usually fatal metabolic disorder generally appearing shortly after birth and characterized by vomiting, metabolic acidosis, ketonuria, osteoporosis, periodic thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, mental retardation, and neuropsychiatric dysfunction. Also called glycinemia.
