Little People of America


An organization for people of short stature whose mission is to assist dwarfs with their physical and developmental concerns resulting from short stature. By networking with other national and international growth-related and genetic-support groups, LPA works to enhance knowledge and support of short-statured individuals. Membership in LPA is offered to those people who are usually no taller than 4’10” in height. LPA was founded by in 1957 by the well-known actor Billy Barty, who was himself a little person. Today, LPA is the largest organization in the world devoted to people of short stature.
