Create an Account

To start with, you’ll be needing a Blink account to set and sync all your security devices.

▪️Download and install the Blink app, then open it on your phone.

▪️At the bottom of the app’s home screen, you’ll see the Create account button, tap it.

The app will request for your phone number and then send you a PIN.

If you have Echo devices that announces activities from your cameras, signing in to Amazon is largely useful. Linking the Amazon account with your Blink account at this point is simple, however, you can decide to do this later.

Install Sync Module and Systems

You’ll have to install the Sync Module if your aim is to use numerous Blink devices.

Step 1:

In the top-right corner on the Blink app’s home screen, tap Add Device button.

Click Sync Module and tap Blink Wireless Camera System. This option permits you to add cameras and devices to the Sync Module.

Step 2:

Input the Sync Module’s serial number then tap OK to permit Blink to connect to your phone’s camera so you can scan the QR code.

On the back of the Sync Module, find the QR code and scan it with your phone.

Step 3:

You’ll be asked if you are adding the device to an existing or new system. Input a name for it if you’re creating a new system.

Step 4:

Connect the Sync Module and hold on for the lights to flash blue before you continue. What you are waiting for is a blinking blue light and a steady green light. This can delay for 30 seconds.

Step 5:

A pop-up will show on your phone to connect to its Wi-Fi network immediately the Sync Module is set. Tap Join.

Step 6:

After it has connected to the Sync Module’s Wi-Fi, enter your Wi-Fi details to make sure the Module is connected to your home network.

Step 7:

Tap Done to finish and go back to the app’s home screen.

Inserting Blink Cameras to the System

You can begin adding cameras and other Blink devices to the system you just made.

To add more products to the system, go back to the home screen on the Blink app.

In the top-right corner on the home screen, you’ll see a Plus sign. Tap it to add a clearly defined camera.

Tap on the exact model in the list that you want to add.

Scan the QR code on the camera.

Observe the onboarding prompts in the app once scanned.

Literarily every camera in the Blink system has its own onboarding method, though if truth be told, they all follow the same processes as the Sync Module — Scan the QR code, connect both Wi-Fi networks, tap Done, and you’re done.

You can give them a new name in the system after the cameras are added.

Go back to the home screen. You should see the freshly added camera with a numeric name and a gray thumbnail, tap on the Numeric name and edit it into something more effortlessly recognizable, for example, “Front door camera.”

After editing the name of the device, tap the Camera icon in the lower left of the camera’s thumbnail to update it to a up to date photo of the camera’s view.

Note that, if the Video Doorbell is connected to pre-existing doorbell wiring, it can update its thumbnail every half hour.
