used to describe various gas station hot food options which range in color from light brown to true brown. typically observed in translucent warming boxes, golden food encomp-sses many edibles which include, but are not limited to: chicken strips, corn dogs, burritos, pizza sticks, onion rings, french fries, crispitos, jojos, jalapeno poppers, taquitos, chicken-on-a-stick, etc. gas stations of the western united states are renowned for their varied selections due to the limited food options in rural areas; however, golden food can be found in most gas stations in all 50 states.
