metallica’s first instrumental and the 8th song on metallica’s alb-m ride the lightning coming in at 8:53. this song was written when dave mustaine was still very much part of the band and his contributions are noticeable. after being kicked out he used a few parts in the song hangar 18 (megadeth). the song’s got a lot of personality and depth and has a mystic feel to it.
