Lakeville, MA
a small town 45 minutes south of boston. the town got it’s name for having a large amount of lakes located within such a small town. there are 5 lakes in lakeville, with -ssawompset pond and long pond being the most well known. lakeville shares apponequet high school with the neighboring towns of freetown and -ssonet. many people that are not from these towns wrongly think that apponequet is a town itself.
(non lakeville, ma resident): so you said you’re from apponequet?
(lakeville, ma resident): i’m from lakeville! the school is named apponequet. not the town!!!
