Maine South Hawks
one of the best high school teams in illinois and the nation, has won state championships in the 1995, 2001, and most recently, the 2008 seasons. the 2008 season ended with a perfect 14-0 record, a first for the program. the hawks have also qualified for the ihsa playoffs every year since 1992, and are still going strong. their biggest rivals in their confrence are the new trier trevians and the glenbrook south t-tans.
