the person(s) displaying nouveau racism have no actual racist opinions, but use stereotypes, phrases, or terms only for the comedic shock value.
person 1: so they replaced me at work! they’re trying to save money and got someone lower down to do my job for less money.
person 2: are they mexican?
person 1: dude! no cool. that’s super racist.
person 2: no it’s not! it’s nouveau racism.
