one album wonder
common in the ’90s, a one alb-m wonder is an artist who puts out one successful alb-m and several singles, and then quickly fades into obscurity. this is different from one-hit wonders from the 80’s, who only had one hit single.
the cranberries, garbage, and alanis morissette are all exampls of a one alb-m wonder in varying degrees.
