a pokemon nest is a region or area, where a specific species of pokemon is highly likely to sp-wn.
real life example for the use of a pokemon nest:
i really needed to catch a bulbasaur (a bulbasaur is a type of pokemon) so i looked up where the nearest bulbasaur nest was (i used ozpokemonnests.com but im sure there are other sites out there that do the same thing) and caught it in the first 5 mins.
