reinsurance is a term to describe the practice of insurance companies re-insuring themselves against a risk so as to spread the possible effect of a large claim between more companies and therefore lessen its impact -the expression ‘reinsurance shmeinsurance’ was first used (by myself) to describe the lack of interest i felt when i spent a whole days training on the subject….
