Miss Humpty Dumpty
The rhyme Humpty Dumpty was first printed in Lewis Caroll’s Alice Through the Looking Glass in 1810. Yet, the old rhyme is even older in oral lore. As such, it was a common nickname for a fat person even in the 15th Century in England. This picture, though, is an unanswered riddle.
