Charm quark



charm quark
A quark with a charge of + 2/3 and a charm of +1. Its mass is greater than that of the electron and greater than that of the up quark, down quark, and strange quark, but less than that of the bottom quark and top quark. Also called charmed quark. See Table at subatomic particle.
