Lead encephalopathy


lead encephalopathy n.
A rapidly developing encephalopathy caused by the ingestion of lead compounds and seen particularly in early childhood, marked by convulsion, delirium, hallucination, and other cerebral symptoms related to chronic lead poisoning. Also called lead encephalitis.
