superficial fascia of perineum n.
The membranous layer of the subcutaneous tissue in the urogenital region attaching posteriorly to the border of the urogenital diaphragm, at the sides to the ischiopubic rami, and continuing anteriorly to the abdominal wall. Also called Colles’ fascia.
