Superior salivary nucleus
superior salivary nucleus n.
A group of preganglionic parasympathetic motor neurons situated near the inferior salivary nucleus and governing secretion of the lacrimal, sublingual, and submaxillary glands by way of the facial nerve and the sphenopalatine and submandibular ganglia.
