a comical and incredibly fun combination of skipping, running, hopping and arm waving, where the hopsalaufing person’s limbs and arms flail in all directions at once. generally accompanied by a high pitched squeal of excitement. derived from the german words: laufen (to run) and hopsen (to jump).
