the origins of this word are to be found in the works of jacques derrida, a french post-structuralist. it indicates a process that is in motion, such as deconstruction, waiting to be revealed or noticed. people using this term can be identified as post-structuralists or trying to express a post-structuralist concept (such as louis althusser).
