g-d of the sun (originally separate gods). the sun is seen to cross the sky by day. by night is p-sses through the underworld to be reborn the next day.
thus amun-ra keeps order
derived from an ancient egyptian god, the first pharaoh/god ever: a.k.a. “king of gods, god of kings”
