androcentrism
a variety of s-xism that is characterized by the conscious or unconscious belief that traditionally masculine attributes are superior to traditionally feminine ones in people of any gender.
one example of androcentrism is the using the insinuation that a man is not “manly” enough as an insult. another is the negative portrayal of “girly girls” in popular culture, as opposed to more positively-viewed “tomboys”.
