answer tease
a person who engages in the act of almost giving an answer to a question but never actually does. usually resulting in frustration of the answer teasee.
charlie had the answer to my very deep, emotion-laden question on the tip of his tongue, but he decided to provoke me by responding with “nothing.” he is such an answer tease! grrr…
