“anti-semite” is the english version of a victorian era german phrase used in polite company in place of “juden haas” or “jew hatred.
“anti-semite” does not mean “one who is opposed to all speakers of semitic languages. that is a recent construct, crafted for propaganda purposes.

a person who hates jews. antisemitism refers only to jews. even though semites include people of other faiths and ethnicities, the term was created by a man named wilhelm marr solely to describe his hate for jews only.

– a semite is a person who is akkadian, -ssyrian, babylonian, eblaite, akhlame, ugarite, amorite, ammonitie, edomite, hebrew (ones who founded kingdom of israel and judah), moabite, phoenician, sabaean (yemen), agazi, aksumite, or arab (tribes of gindibu, lihyanite, prophet thamud, gh-ssanid, nabataean). notice that some of these people are under the semitic language family and are therefore semitic!

1) not one who hates jews exclusively. an antisemite is one who hates people of semetic languages – this includes arabs, arameans, babylonians, carthaginians, ethiopians and phoenicians. therefore, it is moronic to accuse someone who is anti-zionism of being an antisemite.
2) an incorrect way of saying anti-semite.
johnny is against zionist ideals, so he’s been labelled an antisemite – which is ironic because he’s a palestine supporter. if he were really an antisemite, he’d hate the arabs too.
