anticon is a label/collective of electic musicians and beatmakers that produce music in various styles, all with rooted influence from the hip-hop culture. they have made a name for themselves over the past few years through pushing limits, intoducing new ideas to musicians and producers alike, while at the same time creating their own sound. they have perservered through m-ssive criticism for either being white boys or not keeping a traditional hip-hop format. (my only argument is that if this didnt happen, like in soo many past generations, do you think hip-hop music would be progressive or stagnent? do you prefer the commercial styles? are you biased and cling to one crew? all the criticism happening now is just the same as old rock and roll artists getting slammed for what their talent was. more so, did anticon even claim hip-hop as their particular style of music? i would suggest researching more and finding out more about who they are, instead of being a lethargic uncontestable rap n-z-. even if you dont like them, they have been pretty sincere about what they do, and can prove it.)

real hip hop- bravo to this group, they push the envelope with extraordinary beats, controversial lyrics, and overall music that is deep and actually meaningfull.
if you aint feelin it, its because you listen to that booty shakin, bling bling bullsh-t, gangsta rap…. and basically you’d rather hear songs about how rich some studio gangster is, how many hoes he got, how much beef he got with everyone, how sik his ride is, and basically your soooo envious of these rappers you’d probably suck their d-ck just to hang out wittem for 10 seconds!
anticon music isnt just for the white, candy flippn hippies with the back packs, just like gangsta rap isnt only for blacks or hispanics, because every mexican i know owns a tupac alb-m and not many of them are gangstas-
anticon is different but what the f-ck you guys complaining about, evolve and adapt, appreciate new styles. i hate radio play but i’m not one to hate on the club scene and that crowd just because i am not a fan of the music. stop with the hatin’, if there werent groups like anticon then you and i would suffer from “lack of variety” and we would all listen to the same ole’ sh-t-

1. makes all of these dumb–ss, neocon, airhead, suburban, white-boys (who pretend to be gangster and black) really angry and defensive because the label can actually put out music that isn’t just about either how much money they have or how many prost-tutes they f-ck.
2. not necessarily hip-hop, but rather a new form of music that can be appropriately called “post-hiphop”. formed out of a growing discontent with the sheer h-m-geny and “status quo” elitism that has become the essence of mainstream rap.
unlike the rest of mainstream rap, anticon actually produces music with heart, soul and meaning. not just bragging about how much money they have, how many prost-tutes they have laid or how many pills they’ve taken.
a clear indication of a major paradigm shift, appearent in the world of hip-hop that is beginning to take place and will likely leave most of mainstream hip-hop’s current audience (neoconservative, white, suburban, rich kids) in the dust. burying them in a future filled with spiritual emptiness that they seek to fill with turgid religious doctrines, contempt for art, and a distinctively post-modern sensibility which manifests in the form of bad taste and an empty, money-driven and meaningles life. with an absolutely h-llacious midlife crisis and frequent divorces followed by equally unsucessful re-marriages.
