audible feedback
n. 1. sounds a listener makes to encourage the speaker to continue speaking 2. verbal cues given to a speaker to indicate you are in agreement
while listening to someone speak, show you’re actively listening by responding with verbal cues such as “uh-huh”, “yes”, “oh”, “hmmm”.
audible feedback can also take the form of questions: “then what happened?” “what did you do next?” “how did that make you feel?” “are you kidding me?”
