australian in origin, this term denotes a first date that is filled with socially awkward mishaps. it stems for “yobbo”, but is extrapolated to denote a date where a thugish young male filled with false bravado reverts to social awkwardness.
alternatively, it can be used to describe just a first date that is filled with awkward acts by one party.
