bespredel
bespredel (from russian “беспредел” — “boundlessness”, “no-limit-ness”) is a situation when someone in power — be it political, financial, or criminal — does whatever he wants while enjoying complete impunity and getting away with murder (often literally).
while people in the west believe that the ongoing ukrainian revolution known as euromaidan was triggered by the president’s last-minute refusal to sign the -ssociation pact with the eu, its real cause was the fact that most ukrainians were fed up with the appalling bespredel on behalf of president yanukovich, his family, and a bunch of oligarchs.
