Bilmey
bli·mey – an exclamation (british) used informally. eg.- uttered when comparing the attacking abilities of liverpool football club to their defensive inabilities. used by jim mcphee continuously during the recent liverpool vs swansea football match – which finished 4-3 to liverpool
the word bilmey relates to watching liverpool fc soccer games – where covering one’s eyes with one’s hands is very similar to asking to be blinded by a higher power!
it’s more of an exclamation than a sentence word. very similar to “wow” and the australian “strewth”. it’s almost a verbal shrug. very often used in combination with a head shake.
