the warm, tipsy, fuzzy state of ideal inebriation when you’re affected enough to make some brilliant decisions but not intoxicated or unstable. a near synonym to the french ‘gai’.
not to be confused with, and only metaphorically related to, the english adjective ‘blurry’: someone beautifully tipsy is blury – one ‘r’!
