Build-To-Order flat
a type of housing launched by the singapore government that is built according to demand, which is determined by the number of applicants and their downpayment.
2011. asia singapore what is build to order hdb 1 apr (online). with bto, hdb announces sites for new flats and interested flat buyers submit their applications within the application period. after the application period is closed, hdb conducts a computer ballot to determine the queue position to book a flat. once this queue is constructed, hdb invites applicants to book a flat. this exercise is followed by an -ssessment to determine whether to build the project or not. if hdb decides to go for the project, tenders are invited for the construction of the flats. after the flats are built they are handed over to their buyers.
