Call-Forward
a common stand-up comedian technique where a subject is casually mentioned in a story that they will build upon in a later bit. call-forwards are used to transition from a subject to a seemingly unrelated subject by dropping subtle references so that the subject being switched to does not seem out of place.
the opposite of a call-back
