a “closet bulimic” is a combination of the proliferation of gently used designer clothing/accessories resale closets and compulsive online shoppers who love the thrill of the hunt. like a cocaine rush, once they’ve found the item they don’t really want it anymore. they immediately photograph it and sell it on a resale closet.
naomi was a cl-ssic ‘closet bulimic’, enjoying the hunt of finding a bag then selling it immediately after getting it. it was all about the hunt, the chase not the actual object of desire itself.
