Commit to the Indian
during a rant, former coach denis savard told his players to, “commit to the indian, commit to the jersey..” the phrase soon become the unofficial slogan of the chicago blackhawks and was taken up by the fans.
to be committed to the indian means to believe in the team, through thick and thin. most fans are committed, however there are the few that are just going along for the ride.
fan 1: commit to the indian!
fan 2: detroits sucks!
fan 3: i’m just here for the beer and to be like everyone else.
