country-core
a genre of music in which country music is paired with a screaming vocalist. the origin of this term is arguably college humor user mike milo’s comment on “awful studio session” november 18, 2007.
“throw up your devil horns and rock out to some country-core!”
metalcore with a southern rock twist on it. bands include, but are not limited to: every time i die, once nothing, and maylene and the sons of disaster.
countrycore concerts aren’t for swag f-gs or scene kids, as they can get pretty hardcore and feature a lot of moshing and broken bones (bring ibuprofen or tylenol).
“dude, did you go to that every time i die concert last night?”
“yeah, man! i felt so f-cking countrycore when they played ‘partying is such sweet sorrow.’ i ended up punching a scene kid in the face while i was moshing.”
