crank a zank
a term used to refer to a person who is extremely cranky, irratable, or grumpy. it can also be used to refer to someone who is a perpetual pessimist, or a constant downer.
gertrude makes sure to get a lot of sleep at night so she isn’t a crank a zank the following day.
