(pr-n. coo-dih-gee or cuh-dih-gee) a type of italian sausage invented by italian immigrants in ishpeming, michigan. also the name of a sandwich made from this sausage in patty form, topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese on an italian bun. found almost exclusively in the upper penninsula of michigan.
