Crocodile tears syndrome

crocodile tears syndrome (krŏk’ə-dīl’)
A syndrome caused by a lesion of the seventh cranial nerve central to the geniculate ganglion and resulting in residual facial paralysis with profuse lacrimation during eating. Also called crocodile tears.
