Erb-westphal sign


Erb-Westphal sign n.
An indication of tabes and certain other spinal cord diseases and, occasionally, of brain disease in which the patellar tendon reflex is absent. Also called Erb’s sign, Westphal-Erb sign, Westphal’s sign.
