Progressive bulbar paralysis
progressive bulbar paralysis n.
The progressive atrophy and paralysis of the muscles of the tongue, lips, palate, pharynx, and larynx due to atrophic degeneration of the innervating neurons. Also called bulbar paralysis, Duchenne’s disease, Erb’s disease.
